I have chrome Westbrass airswitches that I bought from eBay and the quality is good. I had previously ordered airswitches from Costco but when they arrived I saw right away that the button was made from cheap looking silver-painted plastic instead of metal. I returned them.

I wanted polished nickel to match my faucets but couldn't find any at a reasonable price. The chrome isn't an exact match but I realized that no one in the world would ever notice the difference.

Thanks, erikanh. EBay is one of the places I found the Westbrass air switch. I wanted to find out if the button itself was of decent quality, so your comments are quite helpful.

When it came down to these last few decisions, we resorted to our builder/plumber in choosing the brands...I think we were experiences decision-fatigue!! I just looked under my sink and can see that we have a Badger insinkerator (never even heard of this! but works great!). There is no label that I can see for our airswitch. I assume that the airswitch is not a Badger, and would work with any insinkerator, so you should be fine. I do know that we had to special order the stainless finish (did this to match our faucet like you'd like to do). Wasn't a big deal, just had to wait a week or so for it to come in.

Thanks, mairin. It's true that my decision fatigue is coming close to paralyzing me at this point. I may just order a stainless steel air switch and hope that the technology is so relatively simple that we'll be OK with whatever brand we choose.

This is a brushed stainless steel Hamat faucet & soap dispenser, SS Everpure instant hot/chilled faucet and and a brushed nickel ISE air switch, if that helps. They look fine togehter and even if they didn't, you won't noticed fine details like this when you are done; trust me.

Thanks for the photos, smarge. What a great sink set up you have! In theory I shouldn't notice the difference in finishes, but, in actuality, I probably would look at the air switch in a finish other than stainless and regret not having gotten the stainless. It's about the same price as the Insinkerator brushed nickel our kitchen designer uses. It's more a matter of the hassle of ordering yet another thing and hoping it shows up in time plus wondering if the brand I order is a "good" one.

I ordered two ISI SS air switches and the GC lost one. So, I ordered on from a "better manufacturer and they were exactly the same according to my GC! I think the better one was sold by Brasstech.
