We have chosen knobs for the doors and pulls for the drawers. My husband was really 'pulling' for all knobs so he'd only have to drill one hole rather than centering multiple holes and matching them up later if I switch pulls. I won this one because I found pulls cooler than what I saw originally and they were VERY inexpensive and very heavy. I like the look of mixing them up to draw your attention to the differences. Choosing all the same style makes them all blend together and looks too 'matchy-matchy' for my taste. I think you will like having different style hardware; keeps it interesting. I matched the metal of ours to the sink & faucet so the total space looks unified, yet has enough variation to keep interest.

thanks for your help! I am just not sure if the styles go well together. the cup pulls are the duluth style from RH and they are more modern than their gilmore style cup pulls so I thought that would match the bar pull style better.

While mixing modern and traditional can look really good, it's best to keep the individual elements all one style or the other. Modern lighting and traditional pulls can work, or modern pulls and semi-traditional cabinetry. But, it'd be a bit schizoid to have one of those chrome "octopus" chandeliers in the same room as a rustic bronze and stained glass sconce. I'm feeling the cup pulls and bar pulls are in this category. Too dissimilar. Now, cup pulls and glass knobs or chrome egg knobs, sure, that can work.

We're going with knobs on the upper cabs (TOP KNOBS M549) and pulls on the base drawers (TOP KNOBS M1161 and M 1155). They are all in brushed nickle but our faucet is shiny chrome. Hope that doesn't annoy me. I don't think it will.

I have cup pulls (Classic Brass) on my drawers and "D" handles (Rejuvenation) on my cabinet doors. I love the look and love the hardware. No knobs for me and no more scratches on my cabinets.
