Delta faucet vs Moen Showhouse Ascent Faucet and Blanco sink
Comments (0)We are having a kitchen remodel done. I prefer the Moen Ascent Faucet , but the CSL (Classic Stainless model) will delay our install date by about a week. I can get the Delta Allora on time. Questions: In terms of quality - does the Delta Allora compare to the Moen Ascent? Is the Moen warranty better than the Delta warranty? Is the Ascent worth $200 (~60%) more than the Allora? Is it worth waiting an extra week? Either one would have to be compatible with a Blanco Niagara U2 undermount sink. Are there any gotchas re: the sink and either faucet? I have always thought sinks can mix and match, but I want to be sure. Comments (8)I had the Delta Touch20 faucets in my last kitchen (main sink and bar) and they were awesome. In five years I only changed one set of batteries and they worked flawlessly. I need this setup because my daughter is short statured and she can reach to touch the faucet but not the handle (unless we move it, but we are probably not going that way as it would require a cabinet redesign). We are doing our new kitchen and I really like the look of the Ladylux, but I have two potential concerns after looking at the documentation and wanted to run these by the group. 1) The install looks pretty complicated versus the Delta. Is that the case? 2) Is it battery operated or a plug in? And if battery operated, what are people's experience in how long the batteries last? 3) Probably most importantly, is the entire faucet touch sensitive? I need the very tip to be sensitive as my daughter cannot reach the top or back. It looked like the end of the faucet may not be touch sensitive per a diagram I saw in the Grohe manuals. 4) What is the quality of the Grohe versus the Delta? Thanks for your advice! Comments (3)It looks very similiar to the Brizo Pascal, except that the Pascal has a motion sensor as well, so you can opt not to touch it. Of course Pascal's price reflects the extra mode. To me, having to touch the Pilar defeats the purpose of wanting a hands-free option like you would get with a Tapmaster or the Pascal. Seeing as Brizo is Delta's high-end line, it doesn't surprise me that they would offer a pared down version under the Delta brand....See MoreKitchen Faucet and Hole Size - Delta 1-3/8" and Moen 1-1/2"
Comments (10)We are down to these 3 i think: 1. Delta Leland, requires 1-3/8" diameter hole ($297 CDN) https://www.deltafaucet.ca/customersupport/documentation/9178-sp-dst.html?document=pd 2. Moen Kaden, requires 1-1/2" diameter hole ($260 CDN) https://www.moen.com/shared/docs/product-specifications/87966sp.pdf 3. Moen Brantford, requires 1-1/2" diameter hole ($391 CDN) https://www.moen.com/shared/docs/product-specifications/7185esp.pdf I think we are leaning towards the Delta. We like the 1"+ more reach on the faucet and Delta seems to get slightly better reviews or shall i say fewer 1 star reviews. I know that reviews are sometimes a crapshoot but i bought (plan to return) the Moen Kaden and the Delta Marca to see what the finish, reach, heights are of each and the Delta feels sturdier. Hope it lasts. Here's the countertop. Installed today....See Moreaes1783
