Anyone have green/sage exterior?
Comments (14)ARe you still out there, wonbyherwits ? I am officially dying to see your house color and wondered if the above instructions would work for BM paint? If you are out there, please help yet another person looking for a gray with green cast. Anyone else - We have a long ranch/colonial style house (only has 2 floors in the center and 3 gables show through the roof). It is a rough cedar shake that is currently painted a silvery gray color that they probably thought the cedar would naturally turn to. The house just had a brand new slate roof put on, and we will have copper gutters installed and we have a lot of copper showing through the roof due to a zillion vents being covered! (Will all naturally turn that greenish color.) The roofs of the bay windows are now copper and the copper color actually reflects up onto the fascia. Much of the front is clad in a stone, some of it being an irridescent mica stone (we hate it, but don't have enough cash left to change it, so we make the best of it.) We will keep a white trim b/c the windows and garage doors are all new and white, and the shingles will probably stay the black color they are in the pic. The house across the street looks the same, so I wanted something a little different (and better!) Any suggestions would be very appreciated! Comments (9)planning on stone colored backsplash When that's installed is when I'd work on the paint color. The green you choose has to go with the stone back splash. As far a choosing a green to work in dim, north light you have to choose bolder, brighter, cleaner colors than you envision. Has nothing to do with yellow undertones or anything undertones. The green just has to relate to the stone back splash and it has to have enough chroma (colorfulness) to bust through the dim quality of light so it reads as "green" to you....See MoreWhat to do with a Sage Green couch
Comments (35)My MIL just said this flower-type is "immature" but I mentioned there's still interest in quilt / country look. If you like it, a simple jute rug, etc.... could work, just saying: https://www.craftsy.com/sewing/patterns/embroidered-flower-pillow-pattern/121020 and this has a palette could include "turtle sage" it's all the rage. ;-) https://www.houzz.com/products/sea-turtle-migration-coastal-lumbar-pillow-prvw-vr~105229435...See Morematching sage green siding , brown roof and new shutter color
Comments (2)Sage green would work really well with your roof IMO. You might consider a darker green, perhaps on the same color strip, for the shutters. I would wait until after the siding is painted before deciding on the shutter color though....See MoreRelated Professionals
