I'm at work, so these are the pics I have already on the computer.

Here's one after the cabinets were going in.

Here's the view from the family room into the kitchen.

The crown in just floating beyond the wall/soffit over the fridge (which is full depth), then steps back for the double oven stack, then steps back again for the cabinet above the snack center.

My plan is to paint the soffits the wall color (the blue in the second picture) and have crown molding added too.

Thanks for taking the time to post the pictures. I was actually curious to see how your cabinets "stepped out" from the other side of your kitchen, like if you were standing in the doorway of your stove wall. glad I could help. Let me know if you have anyother questions. The soffits were a key design dilema. This was the best solution I could come up with.

Is the cabinet over the fridge 24" deep or a 12" brought forward? How is it supported and fastened? I am trying to figure out what to do with my soffit also and am currently planning to bring it out 25" over the fridge, but do not like it much. I like how yours are.
