Belle Foret vs Whitehaus bridge faucet - opinions please!

Hi All!

I've received such great advice on my sink and am now on to the faucet. We've narrowed it down to two faucets:

in stainless steel

or

in pewter

Background on what the rest of the kitchen looks like:

We have a shaws fireclay apron front sink in an espresso cherry cabinet. The rest of our cabinets are in maple hazelnut cream (a distressed off white). We are waiting to choose the faucet to finalize the hardware on the cabinets and have chosen coast green granite counters (see link).

(not our slab but incredibly similar)

We're going for a beach cottage look. Ok, so that's the background. Opinions are appreciated on other faucet choices, but we've done a ton of research and have either ruled things out for lack of a sprayer, design that doesn't fit our style or price (love the herbeau, but just can't spend that much on a faucet regardless of what I can afford - I'm way too practical for that).

The next questions is: what are your experiences: good/bad/ugly, with the two faucets we've chosen. I've found mixed reviews on both and am concerned with the Belle Forets use of plastic parts. I've already had a bad experience with a plastic faucet and have no desire to be replacing an expensive item like that.

Thanks in advance for your replies!
