Ok, I've read this thread a few times and finally have to chime in because I LOVE organizers!! LOL. I 6-coat (each side) poly'd 1/4" thick 24" long aspen boards from Lowes. Then I ordered 10 sets of cabinet brackets from Lee Valley. Then, for whatever reason, I proceeded to Gorilla Glue the pieces together instead of using the brackets. I, too, am obsessive about organizing where I can and am thrilled to have my 'junk' drawers done!! I still have to do my cutlery drawer. I make people look at them when they come into the house, lol. I asked my husband, 'Do you love them?? Isn't it great??" He said, "Uh, they're nice. But I'm glad they make you happy." CLEARLY, he doesn't care about organizing like I do. LOLOL. I haven't taken pictures yet, but my one drawer is all small squares, 20 of them in a drawer in an 18" framed unit. All my little things are now neatly nestled! I think I need to add my brackets to the 'not for sale' thread!

I have a 30 year old kitchen, but I'd recently been in my local Ikea (Elizabeth, NJ) and found their half-moon blind corner shelves on sale. I figured I didn't have much to lose since they were $5.00 each and I bought 2. The only adaptation I had to make was to mount a 2x4 piece of wood as an upright to attach the bracket to. Since it's intended to fit inside the Ikea brand cabinets, the bracket was obviously specifically designed to easily attach to them, but my cabinets had a much thinner door post, so the 2x4 beefed it up. They are the single biggest change this kitchen has had in 30 years - and if, in my soon to begin remodel, I have to have a blind corner cab again, I will be re-installing these. Just an FYI - as of 2 weeks ago the Elizabeth IKEA still had piles of these 1/2 moons for $5 as well as the full lazy susans for $10. They were in the midst of remodeling the kitchen department. Anyone who wants to experiment, now's the time to pick those up. Helene

Keep an eye out for special deals from Costco and Sams Club. I got a really good sized Bamboo organizer that was a 2-pack for less than $18.00. They had the removable dividers to custom fit your drawers and the bottom was lined in cork. The quality was outstanding!!! I also purchased some of the acrylic organizers in a package deal for around $16.00. I found the same brand in other stores, but they were individual priced and much higher. When you see a one time buy at these stores, and contemplate if you need them...I would purchase because once they are gone they are gone...:)
