Faucet for 30" Whitehaven
Comments (5)Tricia- I just bought the grohe bridgeford to go with my 30" farmhouse sink. I did a lot of research and I also wanted single handle pull down, but with 2.2gpm. A guy at a plumbing place liked the grohe because they are well built and he can always get parts for them so they work forever.I have friends with this faucet and the sprayer is great. If you get the eco "watercare" version the flow restrictor can be removed.) The faucet just arrived (from ebay--that took guts) and it looks good. The grohe is pricey, IMHO, but I liked some of the Moens as well. I think I liked the Lindley. Tricia...See MoreReverse osmosis? Why?
Comments (10)RO water is able to remove minerals, salts and chlorine from water, but the question is do you really need it? If your supply water is soft (low in minerals and salts), how much benefit are you really gonna get from it? Also, all RO systems have waste water - best case scenario you are getting 1/3 good water for every 2/3 of waste water that goes down the drain (generally, more pressure = less waste). You may not see it depending on how it's plumbed but that's how RO and RO/DI systems work. American water is actually very clean and safe, especially if your plumbing is in pretty good shape and not shedding rust etc. So think about if the money spent and water wasted is something you REALLY need. I've used RO systems for fish tanks with delicate species of fish, and we use sophisticated RO/DI systems here at work (pharma company), but I only use a Britta-type filter at home and that's only because some of the pipes are a bit old....See MoreRegular or Extended Faucet ?
Comments (3)Some people are very upset if the flow of water doesn't go exactly down the garbage disposal. If that is you I would ask Kohler which one will do it....See MoreCrack in brand new Kohler cast iron whitehaven sink - help!
Comments (12)@Stax, how about an example, instead of just a damning, blanket statement? We renovated our kitchen nearly 4 1/2 years ago. Two plus years after install of a Kohler Artifacts faucet, my DH knocked the spray button off of the head, while cleaning a heavy pot. One phone call, and three days later, a new head was delivered to our door, free of charge. Kohler and Delta, are known to have the best warranties (lifetime for the original owner), and customer service in the business....See MoreHammerMom
