do you think this moen faucet / soap dispenser match ?

Hi, looking for opinions... we like the Moen Arbor faucet and the plumber's rep says the model 3942csl soap dispenser goes with it. IMHO, they don't ... I suggested another faucet/dispenser I saw on line, she said that one is retail and she can't supply it... this whole faucet thing is starting to frustrate me as I don't think the faucet choice should be this time consuming!

Looking for any opinions/suggestions... Thanks!

I spent more than a year deciding on my new master bath faucets. Oh yeah, it can take that long and be that complicated. ;)

I don't know what your faucet looks like so I can't comment on the match. Maybe you could post the faucet. Do the combo that you like, even if you have to buy the dispenser retail. My dispensers probably won't even be the same brand as my faucets. Sometimes I don't like the dispensers that "go" with the faucets. Pick what you like.

Taggie: hahahaa. Yes, I think he would notice, because he would be the one installing them. Ã¢ÂÂswitch the top part in for the stainless one and not mention a word about it. Don't know how observant your DH is, but mine would never notice itÃ¢ÂÂ But you know, the water filter faucet is starting to leak a little (wink wink wink)Ã¢ÂÂ¦especially when I bang it w/ my big metal pan!!! Hahahaa Breezygirl: oh, IÃ¢ÂÂm way past year 2012 birthday and anniversary already. My 4 girlfriends and I are heading to South Beach for our birthday celebration next month. For our anniversary, I got my beloved Vitamix Blender (oh how romantic). Christmas 2013 present = IÃ¢ÂÂm getting the Blum Servo for the hands-free trash pullout. As for the handles: funny you mentioned it. Our friend came to help install them this morning. He didnÃ¢ÂÂt have enough time to do them all, but he strategically did not do any of the uppers so that he didnÃ¢ÂÂt have to fight me on installing them horizontally. I didn't mention that I hate wasting stuff. Yes, I can Freecycle them, but...still wasteful. thanks, Amanda

jshore, i just finished our kitchen and have the grohe bridgeford pull down faucet and i LOVE it!! i have it in polished chrome and did buy the matching grohe soap dispenser (polished chrome) and i think they look beautiful together. got them at irawoods, the dispenser was 65.00, free shipping and no tax. yes you can find polished chrome elsewhere, just make sure it is what you want and the finish is good so it won't rub off. good luck!!

They should go together but they don't have to look like a suite. Or you could go another route. According to the parts guys at the high end plumbing store, Brasstech soap dispensers are far superior to the rest. The hole is bigger (some are only pinholes) and the mechanism is better. The pump core is guaranteed and they will replace it. Apparently a lot of soap dispensers get gunk up and fail.

I'm not sure I'm understanding your question, but I'll take a stab at an answer. I also bought a Moen faucet from Ebay and the owner gave me a free soap dispenser (Moen Aberdeen). There should be a plastic bottle that attaches to the unit to hold the soap. It screws in to the dispenser just like screwing a cap on. If this was not supplied, you can buy a Never MT (highly recommended). This is a $8.00 purchase that allows you to hook up to a large bottle of detergent so you don't have to fill the soap dispenser but maybe once a year (based on usage and bottle size). It's easy to install too. People here swear by it, and I learned about it from this forum and have one also. You can read more about it from the attached link. They look fine to me. But again, it's your kitchen.

Is that the dispenser you like or the one that was suggested to you?

If the finishes match (because they are going to be directly beside each other), that's most important thing. Look at them next to each other...because not ALL stainless steel finishes are created equal. If they are both Moen, you should be ok.

As far as style goes, I think they look fine together. I've found that it's difficult to find "same collection, same style" soap dispensers.
