I would definitely check out the kitchen forum thread. I'm not sure what they have suggested, but for a warm white, I would suggest taking a look at Benjamin Moore White Dove. I also always suggest painting out big samples and looking at them in all lights and against all other material selections (including the existing counter if you are indeed keeping it) before choosing a color. As far as the white counters go, I like the white on white kitchen look. Especially with the island and the floors for contrast and warmth. It may not be your taste though. Lots of images on Houzz or the kitchen forum gallery to give you a better idea of whether you would like it or not. On the wall color, what colors are the adjacent spaces? Any artwork you want to use? Anything else to take into consideration, like a kitchen aide stand mixer that sits out all the time?

I learned after I replaced my copper tubing to the fridge with flexible tubing, what the trick to copper tubing is. You need to purchase a significant amount of extra tubing and coil it into large coils, similar to winding a hose but not quite that big, and make what is essentially a large loose spring. When the refrigerator is pulled out, the coil expands and when it is pushed back into place the coils nest or at least go back into the "spring" configuration. This allows the appliance to be moved and prevents kinks. You have to have enough extra tubing so that the coils separate but do not stretch out completely and loose the circular shape when the refrigerator is fully pulled out. OK, did I explain that well enough to understand without pictures? Of coarse, copper tubing being a little expensive and trying to keep the cost down, and never having been told that is how it should be installed, I did not do that and also ended up with kinked tubing and had to replace it. First think about your budget.How much do you want to spend?? Options: 1. Purchase new cabinetry pieces from Merrilat and then have everything painted. Our Answer = We choose this option 1st, due to the fact that the final product will be even in the end in terms of color. 2. Reface cabinetry and let them create the needed pieces. Anwer = Not an option for us. Refacing involves gluing strips of the desired finish on to the cabinet frames which over time we have found that eventually detach, and will have to be repaired or replaced. Because you have been with cabinets for a time...the finish you order from the vendor will not match to the existing 100%. Finishes change over time. 3. Purchase new cabinetry. Our Answer = Our Second option. It can be very costly to replace cabinetry all together. Depending on the material and brand. Changes to be made: 1. My microwave above my gas cooktop is not vented. I cook a lot and am tired of lingering smells. It recently died and the size is no longer made. Replace with a blower installed inside a cabinetry hood. Answer = If painting cabinetry you can purchase an unfinished hood and purchase a separate blower to work with your stove's BTUs. The door style does not necessarily have to match if you are not a stickler for matchy matchy.... You can even have the hood be a different material like metal etc. 2. Add glass doors to my Butler's pantry Answer = Easy fix...just take your doors to the local glass guy and they should be able to sell you the product and install. 3. Remove the desk area and replace to create a one level area of cabinetry. Answer = You can order this direct from Merilat. A standard height 34 1/5" tall cabinets for that space. 4. Add a cabinet piece by the desk to house a microwave drawer. Answer = We usually use 30" wide Microwave cabinets. 5. backsplash Answer = Once you have your finish for the kitchen and the counter, you can post options. 6. countertops Answer = Please post pictures of options.

We are not interested in horizontal cabling or wide spaced vertical cables because like others have said, they can be climbed or squeezed through as well. Also not trying to go 100% mid-century modern, more “warm modern” inspired by mid-century modern style. Printesa’s picture is pretty much the vibe I was looking for in this space. Thank you for that inspiring pic. Vertical metal railing, wood, white walls. I like the wood planks extended to the ceiling on the right but not for the existing banister space.
