What color kitchen knobs/pulls.... and what color room door lever

We are looking at doing cabinet pulls/knobs in the kitchen and redoing all the room door levers in the full house. I like the look of oil rubbed bronze, but I do NOT like the patina look that comes over time.
Are there any that do not patina/change?
Also, to note... we are redoing the oak spindles on the railing and trading them to black rot-iron. So, should the door levers and cabinet pulls be black? Or is that ok to still be bronze?
Here is a pic of a piece of our new cabinets, the black granite counter sample and the backsplash. Which hardware COLOR do you think is best?? What about shape/design? I am thinking cup for drawers and knob for cupboards -- what about the square pull, can that go if I do the cup for drawers?
BLACK or "faux" oil rubbed bronze? (and how do I tell if it is faux?
Also -- our room doors are medium oak color wood grain finish Masonite door. Black okay? faux oil rubbed bronzed better? opinions?

Personally, I like the black. Not just because it'll match, but I think it looks good against your cabinets.
That said, there is nothing wrong with mixing - especially black and ORB. In my kitchen, we have burnished, aged copper fixtures, but for the hardware I went with the brighter copper, and it looks fine.
I just went through this in the bath. Finally decided on brushed nickel so at least the faucet and light fixtures would match. Yes, I've been accused of being "matchy", lol.

Since its a remodle of existing cabs some of it depends on what you have in there now and do you want to do with the existing holes . Match them up or puddy up and paint them or hide them under new hardware. I ran into this with my old kitchen I had to puddy up existing holes or rechoose the hardware to match the hole pattern of the hardware I was replacing.

I have flair style ones. I bought them backwards, so they are all facing UP instead of down. I heard down was how they are supposed to go. There's a way to tell if you need a RH or LH one... stand within the door frame with your back to the hinge-side of the jamb, with the door open. If the door is open on your left, you have a left-handed door. If the door is open on your right, it is a right-handed door. Now if I'd of read that first.... but the guy told me the levers were okay no matter what (he lied apparently because it was an Ebay purchase). So now I have "up" facing levers unless I want to get all new ones. So far, nobody's noticed though? Does it really matter in the scheme of life? I'm letting this one slide! Oh and I have kwikset locks; you can push up or down on them. It doesn't matter. You will not need to think about it. You're brain will just do what is natural. An they are as comfortable as knobs. As for the person whose ripping pockets, I don't think anyone's had that problem here except for the robes on the back of the door. They will get caught on the levers. But the part about opening the doors easily with filled hands is true and the entire reason to get these types of knobs (other than aesthetics). I have a mixture of both lever and round in my home....round on the interior doors and lever on the entry. I have the oil rubbed bronze bath fixtures, and went with that color for the interior doors. However, at the suggestion of my decorator, I went with the black on the entry door as it is a dark wood door and we wanted some contrast. I'm glad I did. Hope this helps...

Levers are easier to use when your hands are full but they also get caught on things you are wearing or carrying. Historically, levers were mortised sets with strong mechanisms. Today's cylindrical sets have torsion springs that are weaker. The thing to avoid is cheap cylindrical lever sets because the spring can eventually allow the lever to sag. I have cups, knobs, pulls and latches in my kitchen and they play well together, IMO. All are polished chrome. Cups are on drawers. Knobs on upper cabinets. Pulls are on trash and spice cabs as well as oversized of same on panel ready DW. Latches are on cab doors under overhang on seating side of island. Cup pulls on drawers Knobs on upper cabs and pantry. Pull on trash cabinet. Latches on doors on backs of island.

Thanks for input! we are basically gutting our kitchen. The shelf in the pic is a sample from my new cabinets that are being made.

I like the cup for the drawers but don't care for pairing the square knob with the cup. The rounded look of the smaller one seems like it would go together better with the rounded cup. But I do like the larger size of the square one. And I agree - black.

Definitely wouldn't do the 2nd pull from the bottom with the design in the middle. It would be a pain to clean.
