Do you love or hate your glass shower walls?
Comments (16)I love it! I won't lie...they are a bit more work, however I wouldn't change my decision. Our bathroom is extreamly small and the frameless glass shower just opens the space up so much. Ours: - Plain glass - No "shower guard" treatment (although I did buy an aftermarket product that I put on the glass to help repel water...similar to RainX) - We have semi-hard water (no softener...yet!) - We both squeegee every time we shower (if we didn't ours probably would be spotted with water marks) - Timing - never timed myself, but 4-5 minutes sounds about right. Husband is quicker, but I have to admit I am more detailed...taking the extra time to wipe down with a "ShamWow' type of towel. It may be a minute more but the shower just looks "clean" when all the chrome fixtures are shiny! - Our shower has marble floor so we use very mild cleaning products - We use liquid soap (this is very important!) We have had our shower for 1 year. No issues although we did get some mineral build up along the plastic strip at the bottom of the shower door. I just took the plastic strip off used some liquid bar keepers friend and it was as good as new. Once we get the water softener I think that issue will hopefully go away....See MoreDo you love/hate your Bertazzoni master series?

Comments (3)I have written about my Tradewind liner many times on here . It is wonderful. We have used it hard for 7 years. It is quiet and efficient and easy to clean . We have a 1400 cfm/54" wide system with the roof mounted blower. Sjerin has the unit also, after reading my reviews. and told me on another thread the other day how great it is. Our GC built the custom surround for the liner. He installed all duct work and the roof blower. It is wonderfully quiet and I only use it on low or med most of the time. We stir fry and deep fry a lot so I have tested it to the max for years. I remove the baffles weekly and clean them. They are always a mess :) A great sign. After all these years I have never cleaned one spot of grease off of my open shelves adjacent to the cooking area or off of the wood surround. No need to...it all goes on the baffles. I hope that you can find what will serve you well. Oh and no I do not have nor did I need make up air. We have 11 and 12 ft ceilings in an 1890 home so there is plenty of air. I have no problem with my gas fire places while using the blower. Here are 2 pics and if you click on it there are many more in the albums. c...See Morewhat do you love/hate about your built-in bench with backrest??
Comments (2)When we rebuilt our deck we took out the built-in benches, because they weren't comfortable and nobody used them except an occasional visiting child. It also gives us more flexibility to rearrange the furniture. However, the VERY talented craftsman who did our rebuild showed us a built-in deck bench he had made at his own home. He took a chair that both he and his wife found to be comfortable and followed its dimensions. I believe he made a template of the back of the chair so the height and angle would be the same, and then re-created it on his built-in. They were very happy with it....See Morejayjay_teacher
