I coordinated by ordering the island pendants, the nearby above-sink light, and breakfast nook pendant, all from Rejuvenation. Progress Lighting, which can be found in a big catalog for special orders at HD, also has families or suites of lights. I'm not sure if this is what you want or are trying to avoid, but here's a pic of my island and sink lights:

I got mine from Littman Bros. You can also order online from them. Mine are not from the same mfr., but I did try to coordinate them because they are in close proximity.

hi janran - our kitchen lighting came from murray feiss, a huge lighting distributer - they are on line - they have "families" of lights that include coordinating, but not exactly matching pieces, so the pendants and chandeliers and sconces, etc. all have something that ties them together, but each piece is a little different. if i can figure out how to post pictures, i will tomorrow

I had a heckofa time trying to decide on that same thing. I finally went with 2 of the one on the right for our very long peninsula, and the one on the left is what we have over the dining table. (Sorry the only pic I have includes what we have for our sink & faucet as well)

As with GrannaBelle, our DR chandelier and pendant lights (2 over peninsula & 2 over sink) are from Murray Feiss. They are part of the "Morningside" collection.

Our peninsula pendants & DR chandelier are approx the same distance apart as yours. My feeling is that when they are so close together they should compliment each other. IMO, they should not be starkly different or clash.

If you check the link below, you will see they have several different styles, all complimentary, that can be chosen from. As you can see, they do not have to match exactly.

I also had a tough time picking out my 2 pendant lights for over my peninsula and light for my dining area which is right next to my kitchen. I ended up getting the lights to match. If I didn't, I couldn't seem to find anything that looked right together. I ended up ordering Framburg lights. I'm supposed to get them Monday! The light in the link is for over my table and the pendant lights are pictured at the right side of the page. Good luck in your decision.

I kept my table chandelier (a "tiffany"like dome shape) and since I didn't think I could find a something that would match it (and i wasnt too sure if I wanted matchy matchy) I looked a bit and with much feedback from the forum here, found a few choices that did seem to have the same feel although not the same look. I am very happy with them.

I'm beginning to think that unless I get a chandelier that matches the pendants in glass and shape, I should do something completely different for the chandelier.

I'm spending way too much time on this decision--I need to move on to paint (more fun)--For better or for worse, I'm picking something tomorrow!

My chandelier is not in yet, but it will not match my island pendants per se. I would say there are similar elements.
