Do you want the wall ovens for the oven space or do they have to be in the wall? If they don't have to be in the wall, how about two ovens in the island? Or a range with oven and then the second oven in the island or in the base cab next to the range? As an aside, I had double wall ovens in my old kitchen for 11 years and ditched them in the renovation. My range has a second, smaller oven, and that will be enough for us on those occasions when we have a lot to bake. I did like not having to bend over with the wall oven, but the trade off in loss of counter space made it not worth it to me. I guess that, in the long run, unless you can figure out a way that you like to add in a pantry to the existing cabinets, you might need to decide which is more important to you--the oven space or the food storage space. That's something that only you can decide.

plllog, The closet is 4 x 4 with a 2 foot door. I should not have used the word "pantry" because it's more of a utility closet, although I foresee perhaps putting spuds and onions into it. Mostly it will contain things like batteries, lightbulbs, paperbags, and dogfood. And table leaves (?) and a broom and my apron and the dehydrator and the upright vacuum and brewery growlers and the Rhoomba and the blancher and the food sealer and a portable oven and the turkey roaster and... is there any space left? Not sure if the household cleaning products will be under the sinks or in the closet--furniture polish, ammonia, etc. I hope that the bug spray and sun block will fit into the lobby closet and get dissociated from the kitchen. This isn't a food pantry. There are two good-sized upper cupboards to hold the major part of my food ingredients (by the stove) and another cupboard with a lazy susan to hold some more. I do not as a rule buy food in bulk so there is no need to plan a food pantry for overflow food ingredients. In fact, that is one temptation that I am trying to avoid. The only things I overbuy in bulk are wine and cheese. ___ plllog: Our old teak mega-china cabinet is for sale--as in the Hitchhiker's Guide, it has to be cleared out in order to make way for an intergalactic highway so to speak, the new doorway to the dining room. Sigh. I will sorely miss it. There is nothing on the market that can hold that much china, Old Sheffield Plate, glassware, and candlesticks. Stay tuned to learn whate I will use as an alternative unit to hold some of that as well as my cookbooks. Yes, in time, I will be able to post some photos. Given the difficulty I've had in finding a suitable antique "killer piece" to replace it, we might commission a custom bookshelf-cupboard for the kitchen in the future. All it takes is money.

Old Runners: Blum 562 series - 75 lbs dynamic/100 lbs static Blum 568 H series - 110lb dynamic/125 lbs static - heavy duty New Runners: Blum 563 series - 90 lbs dynamic/100 lbs static Blum 569 H series - 135 lbs dynamic/150!lbs static My cabinet manufacturer was still carrying the old runners when my cabinets were ordered, Feb., 2013. I had the hardware for four 36" drawers switched to the heavy duty 568H series in March, 2014. The soft close on my dish drawer stopped working & through GW I figured out it was a weight issue. With the 568H runners installed, my drawers feel stable & the soft close works, although I do wish I had upgraded to the even heavier 569H series. My experience with my KD was overall very good but the company she works for didn't know Blum heavy duty drawer runners even existed. She contacted her rep at Woodmode/Brookhaven, who was also clueless. I had to provide them with part numbers. It seems to me that if you are going to sell 36" or wider drawers, you should advise your customer to purchase heavy duty hardware.
