Comments (20)I'm not at the knob/pull phase yet, so forgive my newbie questions. Which are you putting on drawers vs. doors? I would guess the knobs will go on the upper doors and the pulls on the drawers, but knowing would help. Also, for the doors, won't you be putting the hardware near the bottom, not near the top? In any case, I think I would prefer the drawer hardware in the middle of the center panel and the door hardware where #2 is, but upside down. :) And those are lovely knobs; would you please share what they are called and where you got them?...See MoreHelp me with Bar Pull Placement!
Comments (12)thank you for the advice. looks like 3 votes for longer, one for the smaller. errant_gw, i see the concern re: guests, but since we'll be able to tell which way the doors open, i won't worry about guests. they can figure it out lol. michelle, i had the same thought as you, the longer pulls are more "modern" right now meaning they'll probably be dated soon, so then we were leaning towards the smaller ones. we're torn. would it look weird to do smaller on the uppers and the medium size on the lowers and drawers? of course we do have a couple of giant width cabs (20" and 21"0 where the smaller looks a little awkward. annkh_nd, thank you, he will like hearing that:) the reason we were thinking horizontal on the uppers and vertical on the lowers, was this inspiration pic: the only difference is their lower cabs do not have drawers on top so they don't have a horizontal pull over vertical pull look going on, which i would have. and we do have drawers significantly larger than the one shown. we have some 28-32". we also have one tiny one because we did a very narrow tray base and i made the stupid mistake of requesting that the door on the tray base look like a drawer over a door and that resulted in a horrifically tiny looking drawer. i think we're going to have to do a vertical pull on that drawer. i'm starting to think it doesn't really matter as long as things look relatively proportionate....See MorePlacement of cabinet pulls.
Comments (11)Neither are wrong. It's a personal decision. I'd opt for the third picture down for the pantry, and the first picture on top for the upper cabinets (It makes them look taller)....See MoreCabinet pull placement on 30" Pantry cabinet doors
Comments (28)These refrigerator pulls are placed just above the rail, which is the most comfortable for me on my door. And the pantry door pulls are in a different location. Still works fine because the scale and use is different. My horizontal rail is at about the same height as this pantry (in relation to the nearby counter). Seems low for a pull, right? Tipping the scales towards going with just above the rail for function/ergonomics (maybe they not be damned;-). Liking what nidnay said about being one of those things you don't notice after awhile and what Flo said about just putting them where they feel right....See Morebreezygirl
