Small hide-a-hose type thing in cabinet under sink-yay/nay?
Comments (7)One difference between a HAH and a regular vacuum is the power. I can't imagine anything hanging on inside the hide-a-hose with that amount of suction. It sucks so good!! ;) With that said, the hoses (and/or the sock that protects the hose) are replaceable. If they get nasty at some point, replacing the entire hose is an option. I do not think they will get nasty, though..... RE: the op's question..... I never use our vac pan in the kitchen because the hide-a-hose outlet is nearby. It's just as easy to grab the HAH as grab a broom.... That, and it's difficult to see the vac pan under the toe kick and crumbs get stuck on the sides of it... So... one vote AGAINST a vac pan....See MoreYay/nay on microwave drawer in island facing range side?
Comments (9)Our drawer microwave is in the island at the end closest to the fridge. It's perfect. So much comes out of the fridge and goes into the microwave. And the island counter top above the MW makes a perfect loading/unloading zone for both the fridge & MW. The drawer under the MW holds stuff often needed in storage and/or cooking prep. Comments (29)I have a soap dispenser but I fill it with Dawn. I used clear Dawn because the blue Dawn left drips down my white sink. I still have Bath & Body Works soap next to the sink with a bottle of Jergen's both sitting on a cork circle. I had a soap dispenser at my old house too and did the same thing. Loved it. The picture I attached is actually of the island, but you can see the 4 piece faucet at the sink (sprayer, faucet, water on/off, soap dispenser), with my soap and lotion on the cork next to it. This has worked well for almost 3 years....See MoreFaucet Sprayer - Yay or Nay?
Comments (12)Thanks for the responses. Sorry, I should have specified that I meant just a regular standard side sprayer as opposed to no sprayer at all. The faucets I'm considering aren't pull-down faucets. I had a side sprayer with my previous faucet and never really used it. The faucet swiveled well enough to rinse the sink without using the sprayer. I was wondering if I could do without it altogether, but thought maybe I was missing something and there had to be other uses. I'm not sure I want the look of a side sprayer. I think it also didn't help that the hose was a little difficult to deal with when trying to put it back where it belonged. Are the newer side sprayers better in that regard?...See Moremgmsrk
