Instant hot water dispenser
Comments (13)We just installed our second Insinkerator instant hot water heater. We've had one in our main kitchen sink for years (maybe 10? at least 5) with no problems. Just put in a bar sink in our pantry and put a second one in there for tea (and instant simple syrup for cocktails) - which seemed like a ridiculous indulgence but with all the $ we spent on the cabinets not so much. This area is quite small and narrow and there was an issue with space. There's also a garbage disposal - had to work to make sure everything would fit but it did. The first one, we bought maybe the second cheapest model from HD, and the one we just bought was similar. The big price differentiators seem to be 1) adding filtered cold water and 2) fancy spouts. We opted for the simple spout with a red dot on it, which helps people know what it is (we have a lot of guests). Obviously we've been more than happy with ours....See MoreOkay, stupid question. Where do you mount the soap dispenser?
Comments (11)Do you have a single sink, or a double? I have a double and I put in on the side where I would soak dishes. It all depends on where you would use it most. Left or right? Some people have their dishwashers on the left, some on the right, and have different ways of washing their dishes, so it's more which side YOU would use. Also depends on where it would fit. Remember the bottle sits below the counter, so there has to be enough room for that. You wouldn't want to drill the hole and not be able to fit the bottle underneath because it hits the side of the cabinet or the sink or something! That said, there's also something called Never MT. It's a tube/contraption that goes from your dispenser and is attached to a Costco sized soap bottle under your sink. If you're going that route, make sure you have room to place that big bottle underneath. (P.S., I have the Never MT and love it! It's there since end of September and haven't thought about it since.)...See Morefaucet, soap, instant-hot placement behind sink
Comments (2)I would space them out like lsandler, and plan to when I do mine, to make it visually more open, less cluttered, and most importantly, to make it as easy as possible to clean between and around them. Sue...See MoreFaucet + hot water dispenser + soap dispenser
Comments (9)One thought on your decision is if the Blanco has a colander etc which you place on the right side of the sink, then perhaps reverse the soap dispenser to the left side. But yes, they drilled my holes all in a row, separated by chosen distances. If the hole size for the hot water dispenser and the soap dispenser are the same, you can always change them out. Don't let the plumbers use plumbers putty on installation of the sink flange or drain. Blanco recommends clear silicone for its Silgranit. Counter tops which etch shouldn't have plumbers putty either as it may etch from it I understand. Sorry, no pictures yet. Excited for you: countertops let you know you're half way there....See MoreRelated Professionals
