Ann Sacks Tile $ question

I'm just wondering if the price is set, or if it is worth calling around for better pricing. Does anyone know?

The tile I love is pretty out of reach, so saving a few bucks probably will make no difference. HA HA. But it's one of those things I've got my heart set on...

I'm just wondering if I should spend any time pursuing it.

I have the card of a salesman at the Ann Sacks store in NYC (37 E. 18th street). Although I am not sure if the prices are set, perhaps you can call him and ask for info? Let me know if you'd like his name and number!

They are set. There are very few distributors, if you see their site, so I doubt anyone would risk cutting prices and losing distribution rights. Have you seen the classics line? Great prices.

Also, try to use it as an accent? I just did my MBA in grey and white marble. The floors and walls were all home depot materials, some as little as $4/sq foot. However, i made a very long niche and outlined it in very pricey mosaic -- for about $250. looks great

I just noticed this post and thought I would comment. We purchased some Ann Sacks tile just last week through our builder, since he passes any trade discount on to us and doesn't uncharge. The tile we selected was from the Savoy line. He got us 20% off, which saved us quite a bit of money.

I've used AS on 2 jobs and been around and around trying to find alternate tile, cheaper tile, similar tile etc. Both contractors recommended several other places but I wind up going with AS as they always have what I want and delivery time has been reliable. Ordering custom pieces with them can be tricky, however. Sometimes, even if you have the time to spend chasing down an alternative things like delivery, quality control and shipping can eat up the difference. If the job is on a tight schedule, as my last one was, I needed the reliability. I wouldn't hesitate to use/recommend them. Having said that, Country Tiles also has a gorgeous glass tile range.

I have not worked with them a lot but I am not aware of any seasonal sales or any discounts--at least at the typical volumes. Maybe at hundreds of square feet or something. Generally it has to be purchased through a designer, although there are probably places online that can get it for you, so I don't know if they consider their pricing retail.
