show me your small corner sinks (for powder room)
Comments (1)There are several wall mount versions that are very small. I used one from Duravit in a previous house. I've also seen one called Minette from American Standard, that's very small. Kohler has at least one, Renovator's supply (rensup.com) has several, ranging in price from about $100 to multiple hundreds....See MorePlease show me pictures of your outside corners with subway tile!
Comments (4)The thing that would scare me is that Subway Ceramics is traditionally more expensive than most other brands, and when both Dal and AO have trim pieces available for their subway tile lines, if that's the only reason you're going to Subway Ceramics, then you're wasting your money. If you're a fanatic about it being exactly period correct, with no cushioned edges, and instead, flat with nice sharp corners, then it IS the place for you. Keep in mind, though, you're going from about 2.00 a foot to about 11-15.00 a foot for the tile....See MorePlease show me your prep sink faucet placement
Comments (8)Thank you, all. This prep sink is going to really be my main sink unless I have a houseful of people. Since I'm the Lady MacBeth of handwashing when I'm prepping I really need to get this feature right. Do any of you with island seating and sinks opposite feel that the faucet would be too close to someone on the other side of the island? Our island will be 42" wide so I'm assuming 18" of counter will be between the faucet and the person seated there. Does this sound right and is it enough room for the person not to feel cramped or that they're looking at an eyesore (although I do think it is an attractive faucet)?...See MoreSayde, sayde, show us your kitchen, please
Comments (33)Mea culpa. I started this thread with a photo of Sayde's kitchen before her backsplash was in, and I still think it was especially Vermeeresque in that state. Unfortunately, in doing some housekeeping on my picasa account, I managed to remove that photo from a public album, which is why that giant exclamation mark appears above. Here is the original picture. As you can tell, The Girl with the Pearl Earring has just existed left. Sorry for the confusion. hbk...See MoreDebbi Branka
