Question for BeekeeperswifeQuestion for Beekeeper'swife
Comments (2)Hi Tom, Glad you like my kitchen, we love it. The hood is Viking 1200 cfm, external motor. Love it, it really does the trick! I can put a George Foreman grill on the counter next to the range and it pulls the smoke from that too. I do worry about the small dogs walking by when it's on....you never know. lol It is 42" wide, and the range is 36". The extra overhang is good and it's necessary to maximize the capture area. I love taking the baffles out and throwing them in the dishwasher--they get perfectly clean and I'm always amazed at how dirty they are. We don't do wok cooking (even though we should and I'm not sure why we don't). I believe it is mounted 30" above the range, that was the minimum. You can choose where you want the motor in this unit also, if you prefer a lower cfm, you can do that, it can be mounted inside. With our range, we needed big cfms. Hope this helps Here is a link that might be useful: Viking 42...See MoreBreezy or Beekeeperswife -- ? about Elkay soap dispenser
Comments (6)Glad Breezy answered this. It really is a lovely dispenser. Do the Never MT with it, you apparently cannot fill this baby from the top! I have air switches too, I used the ones from Amazon from InSinkErator. They are fab. And really, those who are not TKO are so impressed with a button that works the gd. hah Here is a link that might be useful: my air switch...See MoreBeekeeperswife
Comments (4)Hi, I am not Bee (wish I had her eye!), but I have Amerock Highland Ridge Antique Pewter 28mm knobs on my pantry/laundry room lower cabs (I have the HR pulls in my kitchen). Let me know if you'd like to see a picture. I'm very happy with them....See MoreBeekeeperswife - OT question about your tub fixture
Comments (2)Wonderful!!! Thank you so much for all that detail. Plus, you said exactly what I was hoping you'd say. ;) I have had my eye on that overstock fixture, but I had pretty much given up because I thought it would be too tall. It looks like it fits perfectly with 8' ceilings, and it is very pretty installed. It looks so much prettier in your pic that I was worried it was a more expensive one. The lighting designer proposed a VERY unattractive light to meet code. She couldn't find what she was looking for when i met with her, so I told her she could just find us something. I told her we were just going to replace it when we moved in so something simple and cheap would be fine. Why didn't she suggest capping it?!?!? Instead she added an ugly $80 fixture. Sigh. I'm so glad to have GW and helpful people like you. Thank you so much! We will be installing that exact light. :-)...See Moreberardmr
