Greenfield or Mauser cabinets?
Comments (4)Yes, I have Greenfield cabinets - installed summer of 2010. (haven't posted pics of my finished kitchen yet - need to get going on that...) We chose the "Kings Mill" door style (maple) with the "Cameo" finish - shaker with a beaded edge in a soft white. They are all-wood construction, all soft-close doors/drawers with Blum hinges. They were delivered well-wrapped and crated in perfect condition. Two minor installation mishaps required a new dishwasher panel and island end panel - they sent new ones for free - quickly too! Let me know if you have any other questions. Happy to finally be able to respond to a request from someone! -hotdog...See MoreAny experience with the Schrock Entra line of cabinets?
Comments (7)I had a whole long explanation about differences typed out, and then Houzz lost it. It boils down to, not knowing your budget, for me if the cost of upgrading to the soft close from the epoxy glides in the Junior line was being charged at less than 5%, that would be worth it. ($500 on a 10K Design.) That is an easy click in the software to give you an immediate cost difference. If the cost difference approaches 10%, that is when it is worth exploring what the costs would be in the full line, as I think it would get you an overall better result for the same or a bit more money. But if you are asking for a redesign in the full line, you should be willing to commit to a design retainer with the company, so they can be assured that you are committing to go with one or the other. There are also cost cutting strategies that any good designer can give you if the full line price is out of reach to you. (Fewer larger cabinets instead of more smaller cabinets, skins instead of integrated flush ends, different crown molding combinations, aftermarket accessories, etc) But you won’t get a lot of work and suggestions without a commitment....See MoreAny experience with LenMar UltraLaq on kitchen cabinets?

Comments (3)Hi, I'm pricing painted MDF doors with plywood boxes. I'm also looking at Ikea however my kitchen is so small that their corner cabinets might not work. I need that storage space. I've never seen a reference to boxes made from MDF. For wall cabinets, wouldn't it be too heavy? And there are no exposed cabinets ends in layout. Thanks....See MoreEden-Manor
