There is Ideal Tile on rt 17 south in Paramus, they also do granite and marble. Standard tile on Rt 17 south is there too. I have not used either one, haven't got to floor tile yet in my redo. I know Ideal Tile was recommended to a friend of mine.

Where are you getting your Adelphi cabs? I am going with them too, but in a painted off white.

I know two people who used Wayne Tile in Wayne and were very happy.

What style and color cabs did you get?

I went to Wayne Tile but ended up buying Spanish porcelain tile from Ideal Tile on 46 in Parsippany. Stay tuned for my finished kitchen pics next week. My GC did my tile and it's beautiful. Email me if you want his name (but you can't have him til he's done with my kitchen!!!)

We are getting our terra cotta tile for the floor, and the tile for our backsplash from Wayne Tile in Wayne.

If you go there, and you don't see what you want right away, ask for assistance. We went with our KD, and we would not have seen the tile we are using for our backsplash without help.

Laura at FUDA time on Rt 17 in Ramsey is the best!! call to make an appointment with her - she will spend a lot of time with you, has great ideas and will help with options within your budget - she helped us with three bathrooms, the kitchen back splash, which we are about to order, and back and front entryways - i can't recommend her enough!(most of the tile places we went to, including those mentioned above, did not offer the personal assistance i have found at fuda, with laura)

FUDA tile, which is right near Wholesale Kitchens on Rte 46 E. (their mail store) has a lot of stuff and Nancy, their sales person was excellent. BUT in the end, I fell in love with my Italian porcelain backsplash tile at Apex Tile on Route 46 in Parsippany, just past New Road. Nella, the woman I worked with, had the patience of a saint and fabulous taste. She also let me take samples home without having to leave a deposit or buy them. Both Fuda and Apex were very helpful,and each had tile I had not seen anyplace else, including Wayne Tile, Ideal, and Ann Sacks. You name it, I was there. Fuda just didn't have the tile I fell in love with.

special thanks to you, per your advice I ordered my cabs (per Mike they'll be ready in 3-4 weeks), went with soapstone i/o granit (by the way what is the name of your stone?) Your kitchen is my inspiration, I want just (with your permission of cource) to steal all your complete kitchen ideas. it's heritage in caramel color. DH pushes me to more safe choices(medium color i/o light, heritage i/o shaker, tile i/o hardwood floor). still hope to convince him to hw, but there is not too much time as we have to buy flooring in next 3-4 days

Steal away, yelena! I had inspiration kitchens on this forum, too. As far as tile, Wayne Tile on route 23 is also good, which reminds me, I need to go there and buy more grout:-0.

Where are you located? As far as soapstone, mine is called Green Mountain Original - but it is probably similar to one of the Santa Rita stones because it comes from the same area.

Reading this thread brings back memories of my bathroom remodel. Laura at Fuda is really, really nice, but she wasn't able to get the tile I eventually feel in love with over at Ideal Tile on 17, who inturn got it from Wayne Tile. Had I known about Wayne Tile in the first place I would have gone there to begin with, their desgn center and warehouse are amazing.

Ummmm can I get included on the Jersey Kitchen tour? I'm right over the boarder in NY. Let me know when and where.....LOL ;-)

All these places in NJ, I live near and I plan to go to them for my kitchen tile. Thank you! Now I am wondering if I should take a look for my foyer areas before calling my installer to change my Lowe's Rialto Beige to Rialto White. I plan to do hardwood in all the main areas but I want Porcelain Tile in the kitchen and the two entrance areas. I love the Rialto Beige but it only looks nice in my front foyer and is too dark in the middle foyer in between the dining room and living room by the bathroom, coat closet, utility room (that had the flood from the central air conditioner unit dying on me and the engineered wood floors are going to be replaced with tile) and garage. I changed the bulb to the maximum 100 watts but the area has no natural light like the front entrance has. Hence, despite the grayish/taupe/off-white color, the Rialto Beige looks like real stone to me and looks nice in both areas. I just hope the Pits are not too difficult to clean. Or should I tell the installer to wait and check out these others places that I plan to check out anyway after my deadlines for my kitchen? I already had gone to Wayne tile and they were so nice but I could not find a tile that I loved as much as the Rialto Series that too me looks like real stone.

P.S. I know several people who used Wayne Tile and were very happy but they have big homes with large foyer areas so they had so many choices in the bigger tiles. I will use the bigger tiles for my kitchen but I want my foyer areas to be diagonal where the 12" tiles look best due to the smaller areas. I keep wondering if maybe I should just do a few different sized tiles and not do the tiles on the diagonal in the foyer areas and only do the diagonal in the kitchen with the bigger tiles. My middle foyer can handle three diagonal 12 X 12" tiles horizontal (but only 2.5 tiles diagonal if they are 13 X 13" in size) and many tiles vertical (longer foyer than wide)while the front foyer can handle 4 diagonal tiles in the 13 X 13 size. But I think both should be able to handle
