I have royal mahogany stain clear alder cabinets, engineered shaw hardwood floors called crystal cove marina and giallo ornamental granite countertops. I am losing sleep over backsplash selection.. I have $1500 allotted for backsplash..

Kitchen overlooks a family room which is quite formal with lots of windows, wood and marble fp and is a open very bright floor plan..

Please help..I am clueless about the material and design..all I know is I want simple mainstream look..not overdone..easy to clean..smooth finish..
