ksoxgrl - So sorry I'm a bit behind. Was not in yesterday, but here are some answers to your questions that hopefully will help! I puchased them from Magnolia Brick Pavers in Prairieville La. They were $1.89 per sq foot (the color I chose is Savannah they have several gorgeous colors) with shipping it came to $3.15 per square foot (if you can ship to a commercial address the shipping cost is less). They are VERY easy to maintain and clean. We applied one coat of sealer from Sherman Williams($4 a can) before they were installed and another afterwards. Water and everything beads up on them and if needed I wipe with a damp cloth. The grout color I will have to double check but I took a couple of pavers to the tile store and had them help me match it. It is sort of a greyish taupe. Let me know if you need anything further!

Ok, if that is indeed the product you used, I see that these are 1/2" brick veneer instead of full pavers, so should be okay on the wall. I still think either those or the glass would be a good look...Just depends on the vision you have for your room. What do you want to see when you walk in...Warm and rustic/ a little rough, well-loved, and very homey, or do you want that mixed with a more modern, clean, sleek feel...Showing respect for the old and well-used (With the floor), but that you're a contemporary person, too, in the work area? Either of those personalities for the room sound great to me and is a kitchen I can't wait to see finished!

I really like your backsplash choices. The colors are beautiful and I hope that you will share what the name of the mosaic is...it's yummy! Just 2 comments: going soley by your photshopped images, I like the layout on the left better. Also, I would consider adding a listello between the brick and the mosaic to help define the design. (I think that's what they call the long skinny 'border' pieces of tile.) It's really going to be beautiful! Sandy

I have gold/tan marble, with espresso cabs. And a gold/tan/grey backsplash. And tan walls. And a golden-hued floor. Sometimes I feel that my kitchen is too... tan. In your kitchen, I would try to tie the backsplash in with the granite, but then I would paint the walls... blue, or green, or grey, to provide a counterpoint to the tan. How about this backsplash? It could tie in with tan granite and blue/green/grey walls. Of course you would want to test a sample, first, to make sure it really works with the backsplash.
