This weekend I juse set and grouted filled honed travertine floor tile. I sleaed most of it about 12 hours before I grouted. However, about the last 20 tiles were laid in the mornging of the day I grouted. Frankly I did not see any difference in cleaning the grout off the sealed vs. unsealed tiles. I will seal, grout and all, in a few days.

peyton road I think the slab I have on hold is 117 x 72. My countertop only needs 43 square feet so that one slab makes it. There were so many different slabs of Asterix where I went so I was able to get one that had all the nuances I wanted. Mine has mostly shiny metallic gray swirls. The brown part is more copper colored instead of rust colored. I eliminated the garnets and white quartz, so the slab I picked just looks like ocean waves of metal swirl, black and copper which will match my floor and cabinets. Thank you again. Oops! Make that 3/16" not 3/8" grout lines.

Grout additive will help the grout stick better to the porcelain, make a stronger grout, increase its flexibility and help it make a truer color. As far as the texture goes on porcelain. It will be easier to clean up the grout if you apply a grout release to the tiles before grouting. Grout sealers will help keep grout clean. Grout is porous and will allow stains to penetrate, a sealer will help prevent this.
