Here is my latest option in lampshades for my marble lamp. If anyone is just joining us, the whole story can be found on another message titled "Part 2 of my lamp saga", probably located on page 2 by now. Then you can see what other choices I've considered.

I'm curious to see what the general feeling is about this latest choice, a rectangle shaped shade.

Here is a view from an angle so you can see the outward curve on the short sides of the rectangle. It kinda looks like it comes to a point where it "sticks out', but it doesn't. It's definitely a curve.

The woman at the shade store thought the rectangle would work nicely with the top of the piano (a large rectangle).

And then to complicate things even more, I have two color choices in the rectangle shade. One is called 'eggshell' and the other is called 'sand'. I doubt you'd be able to see the color differences in my pictures. The shade in the pictures is the 'eggshell'.
