I have been having so much trouble posting this. I put it at the end of another post but really need it as a seperate one. As you can tell I have so many questions and I just can't believe all the people with great ideas and experience so here's another question. I was so excited when I saw someone post that they had a Brizo hand held shower head in their bath! I just was in a store today and selected Brizo polished Nickel for the double shower. So it will be a handheld (3 water flow positions) on the pole with a thermostatic control that I will be using as an everyday shower. The other end of the shower will be the Brizo 3 position Raincan Showerhead (which has full spray, rain and massage features)and another thermostatic control for my husband. We currently have old Delta faucets in this shower. Since the tile is being redone it seems that this shouldn't be difficult to put in for a plumber. Does anyone have any experience with these showerheads? How is the multifunction on both these showheads? I would hate to buy them and then end up hating them. It's hard when you can't try them out. Now the other faucets in the bathroom (2 vanity faucets and 1 Roman Tub Faucet with a handheld) will probably be Restoration Hardware Compaign also in polished nickel. I just fell in love with them and can't find anything else in that style. I saw on this site that they are made by Newport Brass which is a good company but I don't get the impression that if there was a problem it would be easy to get parts or help. Their website is terribly for getting specific information and Restoration Hardware is not too good either. The problem is that the Roman Tub faucets from Restoration Hardware do not come with a handheld so I think I have to order it from Newport Brass and then hope it will be compatible. I need to call them tomorrow. I also, read on this site that plumbers don't like installing these so that scares me a little. Re - buying lighting on ebay - during my total remodel last year I had one bad experience buying some lights from a company on ebay that turned out to be cheaply made chinese knockoffs, but that was early in my remodel process - a lesson learned. I also had one negative experience buying a vintage modern italian piece that was never sent to me - but ebay and paypal took care of that for me 100%. However --- Everything that said it was a RH product new in the original box was absolutely problem free and exactly what it was claimed to be. And a great deal. I also got a pottery barn light that I love via ebay - new in box.

bkatz, who's the seller? I purchased 3 Restoration Hardware light fixtures from seeseemyplaymate and they came quickly in perfect condition. He/she/they sell a lot of clearance/discontinued Restoration Hardware merchandise on eBay. If you stick with the power sellers with high feedback ratings you should be fine. I also purchased a Kohler potfiller, soap dispenser, sink grid and air switches from various sellers. All merchandise was brand new as described and shipping was fast. Good luck! Erika

A little pricer than others, but I am happy with my restoration hardware knobs and pulls. I have ORB Ephram pulls and knobs, PN Bistro pulls and PN aubrey knobs. I have not had them long. Right now the ORB looks matte black (or nearly black.) I do not know if the ORB wears like a traditional ORB (i.e. over time and use the bronze shows through.) It seems pretty solid. My Baldwin front door knob/handle is naturally wearing through and I really like that look (but if you don't I understand you can re-oil them.) I do know that the PN has a lacquer finish so it does not "tarnish" or whatever the word is for loosing it's luster. In retrospect I would have purchased lacquered PN somewhere else because that was the look I liked and didn't know how to get it. I only bring this up because you can ask if the ORB has any type of preserving finish. Wow - I just pulled out an unused ORB hanson knob (it is hefty) - it has detail that is clearly a faint bronze showing through. From a distance it just looks black but when you get up close it could be called a very dark brown with dull bronze highlights. I guess it matters which style you get. If you order from RH through the store, not online (and even on the phone) you don't have to pay shipping. YOu can always buy and return if necessary. Good luck.
