In my palm pilot. I hate calendars. No matter how "pretty" they're supposed to be, they always look far too busy to have out. (JMHO)

Mine is on the side of my refridgerator - you have to be standing on that side of the room to see it.

When my kids were at home we had a wipe off board type of calendar so we could see the current month and write things on it. It hung on the refrigerator and I'm not sure we could've survived without it. I used to tell my kids that if it's not written on the calendar it's not going to happen. As empty nesters we don't have one anymorel DH and I each keep our calendars on our pda phones and computers.

My gigantic, screaming yellow, "Mom's Family Calendar", is on my desk in the kitchen. It also finds its way to the island. So then, I suppose you would have "something" to decorate your new island! ;)

Mine is on the granite desk top in the kitchen. It is one of those "desk size" large sheet calendars. Now that the children are gone, I'd like something prettier and smaller.

kmcg85, I tried that calendar for a few weeks but decided I'm not a vertical-calendar person.

I've been using something called "My Plan It" by Avalanche--the non-religious one, and love it. It has stickers and pockets, etc. I keep ours in a drawer in the kitchen. I'm the only one who writes on it, or who even reads it usually because I'm such a control freak.

Ours hangs on the side of the fridge, so it is not visible unless you are standing by the sink and look in that direction. It has a whiteboard with it, so the stuff for the day gets transferred on to that, along with the running grocery list and special reminders. It is a great way for everyone in the family to be able to know what is happening.

Kitchen wall. If we didn't post it where everyone could see it, we would have frequent scheduling conflicts.

By this time next week when our kitchen remodel is complete (did I just say complete, as in the chaos and mess will finally be over????), it'll be hung on the inside of our pantry door.

Ours is on a wall in the kitchen--actually I am the only one who uses it--keeping track of DH & DS and my work schedule..

We have a built in desk in the hall, it's a blotter-style calendar which is somewhat annoying because it gets covered with purses, leashes and soccer pix.

I use a palm pilot, so I keep it in my purse and backed up on the computer. I print out each month on 8-1/2 x 11 paper and use a magnet to keep it on the fridge.

My calendar hangs in the mud room and functions as my brain ~ I would curl up and die without it. I've been using the Thinkbin calendar for the last 3 years and absolutely love it.

Mine is a program on my computer. It pops up a window to remind me of an upcoming event.

I also made a decorative birthday calendar, w/all family birth dates, that I keep on my refrigerator. It's laminated and has magnetic tape on the back.

When my kids were small I had a magnetic calendar on the side of the fridge, you didn't see it when you walked into the room. Now I hang it on the inside of the pantry door.

I use one of those ring bound "book" jobs that shows the entire week. I like them very much. I keep it on the the desk right next to the telephone and add/subtract appointments with ease.

I get a kick out of looking at the picture that goes along with the week. This year it's Norman Rockwell, in years past it's been the Civil War, cats, Impressionist art, etc..

I have a dry erase board calendar on the front of the fridge (it's actually covering a scratch DH put in the door trying to get the new fridge in the house! LOL). I had a board from the store but it was getting holes in it, so I went on-line and found someone that makes Primitive Country designed ones to match my decor and ordered that one. I love that calendar!

Ours is in the laundry room. And it's a regular, 12 month paper calendar with boxes for each day. I enjoy picking one out each year, usually something flower or bird related. I like to look back and forth over the year at various events so an erasable one would never work for me.
