Paint color suggestions for Master Bedroom Needed Fast!

We just moved in to our new house. Our bedroom set will be delivered on Friday and I need to decide on a color to paint the bedroom and have it done by then. I need your help in deciding the color.

Here is the background. I always thought it would be a green. I bought this quilt to put on our bed.

My husband and I visited Biltmore this summer and he discovered this bedding set on Biltmore online he liked so he bought this one.

I am trying to incorporate both bedding sets so that the wall color compliments each. I like BM Saybrook Sage especially with my quilt but with the other set I was afraid it would come across as a Christmas themed bedroom. The 2nd bedding has some golds and hints of green in it.

I am also using BM Decatur Buff in the great room and kitchen so I was trying to change the color scheme in the bedroom from looking like the rest of the house. I might not have a choice. Please help me find a good color that looks good with both.

I would stay in the gold family. I might use Decatur Buff or something close to that. What color is your bedroom furniture?

Wander over to Home Decorating the Gallery. (link below) Then click on the thread for favorite Greens and take a look. I think the Saybrook Sage is a lovely color. I don't think any color will still be your favorite when it's time to redecorate in a few years, but greens are certainly timeless. I have several in my home. The Dove White is great for trim. Also check out BM Granada Villa. Its a beautiful blue teal. We have it up in our entry and an accent wall on our stair landing. Paired with with BM Sea Spray which is a goldish beige. I am starting to think about our Master BR also. It's still builders paint. Will be very interested in the suggestions here. Would love to see the purple blue that Tarnator is talking about. Our designer helps us with colors usually which has really worked in keeping us from wasting time and money.

How pretty. We're using a simular color palette in our room, and I've gone with a very soft grey blue for the walls. It's amazing how calm it makes you feel. I would suggest it to anyone. For your room, why not take the shade of blue from the bedding, have it matched at the paint store and then lighten it a couple of shades for the walls. You can then do the ceiling in either an even lighter shade of the blue or the cream. If you prefer warm colors you could apply the same idea to the brown or cream, lighten or darken to your preference, but the bedding already offers you the 3 colors for your palette, so either way I'd stay in that family and think it will look quite beautiful!

I really want the bedroom a sage green but I really don't think that's going to happen. I might try a few samples of paint on the walls with both bedding and see how they look. Here is a better picture of the 2nd bedding set.

Patricia43 - Here is a picture of the bed we ordered. The stain is a reddish brown color. I am thinking a color in the gold family might be more versatile.

Bestyears - I can't find the BM Quiet Moments 1563 on my fan deck. Is that a gold color?

Very pretty. Yes, I think something in the gold family will make your bed linens really look great and your furniture will really "pop" with a rich gold on the walls. I think it will be beautiful!

BM Bronzed Beige would be pretty with the second bedding set! It is a light gold color.

I have Saybrook Sage in my MBR and I love it. Make sure you at least try a sample of it with your bedding. The second photos you showed of the bedding looked more rust as opposed to red so I bet it just might work. The Saybrook Sage is a very soothing and comforting color (at least to me). Good luck

Suzieca- the 2nd bedding is more of a rust than a red. My husband likes the darker greens for the walls but I like either something like the BM Saybrook Sage or go with a golden tan.

I am going to get some paint samples and try them of the walls with the bedding to see what looks best. I really need to get a move on because the new furniture will be here on Friday at 8:30am!

Quiet Moments is a green with a lot of gray in it. Gorgeous on the wall! Try doing a search for it here, I think others have used it.

If considering a green, look at the LA Olives from Lowes. I think an olive would suit the beding.

I tried some samples today. None that are really my favorite. From left to right are : BM Desert Tan, Monroe Bisque, Saybrook Sage, and Decatur Buff (this was going to be my choice for my great room and kitchen but it seems darker than I thought - maybe because of the white next to it). I like the greens but am liking the color that's darker on the same color strip of Saybrook Sage(can't think of the name right now). Tell me if you like any of these. The picture turned out dark, sorry.

I have the colors of your bedding n my family room and my walls are painted BM Camouflage. It's a soft grey green. I love it.

The Desert Tan is nice, the MB is a little too cool for my taste. As for the S. Sage...it's not a combo I like with your bedding. Same for DB.

Hope you find something that makes your heart sing. :)

I wanted to throw out BM Wilmington Tan or Shelbourne buff. I have used WT alot - it looks great with oak & rusty colors, too.

My previous house had oak judges panels in the den & WT looked really good with it.

We just got our furniture delivered and I finished painting last night. I really like the green I ended up choosing with the furniture. It is showing up lighter in the pictures though. I chose BM Louisburg Green. I couldn't find a tan that I was happy with and the green really looks well with the bedding colors.
