What color bedding would you do in a room with sage green walls?
Comments (10)In our master bedroom we have RH's Silver Sage on the walls -- and use Ralph Lauren's Sussex Gardens comforter and shams in the summer months. Nice colors for the warmer months! Here's an older photo of our summer bed -- I do have a collection of satin comforters -- so I fold a green one or an orange one at the bottom of the bed. And the lady-in-green portrait moves into the living room for the summer now -- and another artwork lives above the bed! :)...See MoreHow would you choose paint color?
Comments (26)I have to ask. Why can't you go to a paint store and see the paint chips even if you can't see them in the intended location? It's less than optimum but imperatIve in the process. You should color test your short list of favs on boards and just view them in different times of day and with the types of bulbs you plan to use. If you're very close to the sea you're gong to get some reflected cool light coming into the rooms. I recommended going with the cool grays that many have suggested, not warm grays like revere pewter or coastal fog. Gray owl, stonington or wickham are all lovely. Wickham has the most blue in it so careful with your sofa that it's a blend that works....See MoreNeed new exterior paint and trim. What colors would you choose?
Comments (6)I feel that if you paint the trim around the window, then you should paint all other trim. It would look odd otherwise and honestly, it would look like only parts of the home have been freshened up. There's a house I drive past that apparently buys a run of siding as the owners' budget allows. So it's been a slowly disappearing face of Tyvek wrap for the past 4 years. Personally. I wish they had just saved up over the years and done it all at once. So I also vote for just waiting until you can do it all at once. If I can barely tolerate/ignore the exterior of my house for 12 years, anyone can. I don't think the other responder was suggesting that you paint the garage door the same CURRENT color, but instead, once you do paint the stucco, make the garage the same color. I personally think cream colored house, or gray, with black trim would look sharp. Can you find more of those eaves and add them to the entrance at some point? Have no clue if it's possible, just a thought. Please make sure whatever siding you paint, you paint it all, not just what faces the street. Trim those shrubs too. Just saw that brick on the front, if that's the only place you have the brick, I'd budget for removing it. Looks ridiculous. Keep us posted....See MoreWhat paint color would you choose? Comments (18)If you're planning on adding curtains or other textiles, choose those before your wall colour. Paint can be matched to anything and that's why it's recommended it be chosen last when doing a room....See MoreRelated Professionals
