New! Can you help me arrange furniture in my family room please?

We are ready to replace our sofa and loveseat in our family room. They are fabric and reclining, and a mess! We would like to replace them with leather furniture and ottoman. I like this set at Macy's:

Here are some of my dilemnas:

1. It is a bit of an awkward layout. You have to walk through the family room to come to our only 2nd story stairs. So the "hallway" is in front of the couch.

Here is the floorplan: but we have the fireplace and windows moved around.

2. Our 16yo son is profoundly disabled and in a wheelchair. We don't have rugs so we can wheel him around easily. We like to place his wheelchair at either end of the loveseat and couch so he can "sit next to us". So, I may get some nesting tables next to the recliner to move around and place glasses on when he is in bed and we have larger gatherings.

3.The tv is a little high - I need to fix the cords so they don't look so sloppy. I could also put the tv on a stand where the bookcase is, and move the books upstairs and drywall the tv niche. Not sure how the furniture would work - sectional? Then, you would walk from the foyer to the back of the sectional. Doesn't seem welcoming.

4. I'm thinking leather sofa, leather loveseat like it is now and keep the fabric recliner, it is really comfy and in great shape. Then the leather ottoman as a coffee table. But the middle area is huge and the ottoman is small. Would that look awkward? The coffee table we have now is floating in the middle of nowhere and is beat up. It is Broyhill Attic Heirlooms and the finish is getting yucky. Another option is leather sofa and two leather chairs with two ottomans in front of the windows? Would that look funny with no coffee table. There wouldn't be as much seating. Again, the need for a hallway to the stairs is an issue.

Here is a link to a public album of living room photos - let me know if it works:

Thanks for any help! I've read this forum for years and love it - just got a burst of courage to ask for help!
