Help needed with kitchen barstools

I recently moved into the 1920s home. The kitchen is a new addition within the past 15 years but built like the rest of the house. It needs barstools.I'm just not sure which kind or color or style. The only requirement is that the chair swivels per my 12-year-old son. The countertop is black granite and is 36" tall. the wood is cherry. Lots of Oak throughout the house. Sort of a craftsman style. There Is room for four chairs but I only want three. There is also a large farm style table in the kitchen that has six chairs. My budget is about $300/chair.

I guess a question in my original post would help. Also my apologies on the picture. It looked fine on my phone. :) My son likes a stool with a back, but I am thinking a black leather topped stool with no back might be the way to go. If I went for a stool with a back, should I go with a simple black leather look, or try to match the cherry?

Thank you for suggesting the orange DWR ones! I just ordered them! I hope the are comfortable for my 5’10” height and my husband’s being 6’2” will sit comfortably in them! Now that I see the photos I wish I had done a herringbone pattern or subway with a little more pizazz. Asked contractor for dark gray grout but should have said “black”. Thanks to everyone!

I would consider getting barstools that tuck completely under the island countertop. This makes a cleaner appearance and also creates a much more usable space since the backs of the stools do not stick out when you are not using.

I would go for something other than wood. Between the cabs, floor and dining set, there's enough wood in the room.

We bought these, but in red and they're awesome. They swivel completely around. We found ours on Craigslist, but I've seen them online in all sorts of colors.
