Yay - Just primed the last spindle!

We made some major changes to our entryway. We removed the tile and installed hardwood in the entry and our kitchen, then we refinished all the hardwood floors on our main floor to a dark brown stain (we've been dying to do this forever). We had the rails (not shown) stained to match the floors, and now DH and I just primed the spindles and will paint them a crisp white. It was tedious work but given the money going towards our kitchen reno, it was a great way to make a significant impact without spending a lot of money. We lightly sanded, then applied B-I-N primer, then we'll paint with flat Benjamin Moore paint.

Next step - replace the previous homeowner's ugly chandelier! Any ideas on the type of lighting? I like how the spiral nature of the chandelier highlights the height of the entryway and echoes the stairs, but it is just SO 90's.
