It is required that cushion seams be at a right angle (90�) to carpet seams or offset at least six inches (150 mm). Butt cushion seams net without compression, leaving no gaps. Do not tape or staple cushion seams for double glue down installations. Install separate carpet cushion in the longest continuous lengths possible, with cushion seams placed at right angles to carpet seams, or offset at least six inches (150 mm) to one side. Trim cushion flush with the inside contour of the tack strip and securely fastened to the substrate using staples or nonflammable cushion adhesive at all seams and around the perimeter of each room. With the exception of fiber cushions, secure seams with appropriate vinyl-coated cloth cushion tape per the carpet cushion manufacturer's recommendations.

Karastan LVP over tile. I wouldn’t if part of it is over tile. We had ours installed and the installer didn’t level it properly. There was a split pour when the condo was built. Normal. That caused a downhill drop. The planks over the drop were coming up within 3 months. The store ripped out the entire 700 sq ft floor and had another installer come down. A better job but still a small drop. Within 6 months, a plank coming up. The store sent down its master installer who spent 4 hours replacing that one plank. He put carpet padding over the problem area and then replaced the plank. That appears to be a good fix. To answer your question. The luxury LVP is very rigid and I think less rigid planks would be a better choice for some uneven areas. We had a downhill area in our previous home. We had less rigid Pergo installed and nothing came apart. FYI. The repair. The expert, with 40 years experience at this family owned store, used a power saw to cut the middle of the plank, lengthwise. That allowed him to remove the plank without damaging the surrounding area. It was a very time consuming repair. Four hours for one plank. The alternative was to rip out the floor a second time. My dealer guarantees satisfaction and certainly honors that warranty,

No, not really. I called Karstan about it, but they weren't much help. They basically just told me it's just a "different style" (or something generic like that). We ultimately just went with the Crafted Details Battleship, because it sounded and felt like a superior carpet and the color was slightly better than the other.   We are happy with the purchase. My only complaint is that the edges lose carpet fibers kind of easily, but I think that's true of all the modern synthetic carpets nowadays from what I've read. And it really only became an issue, because we had a cat that loved digging up the corners. We no longer have that cat, so it's a non-issue now.   On a related note, there was a time when the cat peed in the corner of one of the bedrooms we don't use often. We didn't realize for a few days, because we never go in there. The pee just pooled at the top of the carpet piles and never actually soaked in. I placed a paper towel on the pee, and the towel absorbed it all. The carpet showed zero traces that it was ever peed on.  I know this carpet is pet-proof, but that is truly amazing. I've never seen anything like it before. Very impressed.

Did you decide to use this product? I am also looking at it, but can find very little informaion on it. The salesman at the flooring store spoke highly of it as compared to other brands he carried
