I am looking for new furniture myself, and have been looking at upholestry fabrics. I've seen one that is black with large dahlia-type flowers. I think that could look cool with those chairs...if not in a sofa, maybe as accent pillows. I know that doesn't answer your question directly, but it's what I thought of immediately when I saw those chairs.

They made me think Ikea as well. How about something from Pier One? They are cool chairs. Is there a certain color couch you were envisioning? What color are the walls in the room where the chairs will go?

Hi zipdee- The furniture was made by Sherrill Furniture, and the fabric was in their plaza collection. Unfortunately, they don't show their upholestery fabrics on their website, but they do have a dealer locator there. HTH.

For a more traditional mix, I could see this one. I like how the london arm rolls out a bit, and picks up on the curved sides of the chairs.

I'm on a Mac and don't know how to borrow photos, so I'll just link these Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams sofas. They're on my mind because I read they're having a 20% off sale (and sale is one of my favorite four-letter words!).

The Rennie Sofa and the Dexter sofa and the Baxter sofa all jumped out at me as going with those fabulous chairs without being precious, if you know what I mean.

Those chairs look like something out of the early sixty's. A modern sofa would look smashing.

Thanks so much for all of the ideas, examples and taking time to post them! Looks just like Jerseygirl said most straight line, modern sofas will work. Honestly, I don't have a color picked out for the room I'm thinking of yet, but I see great vintage chairs very similar to these once in a while and they always catch my eye. I really like the green on this set!

Oh my gosh zipdee! I grew up with those chairs! How old are those? My parents' chairs were dark green, and the only thing I remember about them was when we sat in them, sawdust stuff sifted out through the bottom. lol

I picture the chairs reupholstered in a sand coloured ultrasuede (EASY to clean) and a sofa like the one in the pic, but either dark chocolate brown or else black.
