Swing Arm Sconces in Bedroom
Comments (6)I have placed swing arm lamps in bedrooms when laying out lighting with the same problem as yours. It works out great because it leaves enough room on the nightstand for your other necessities. You can try the two sites below. I am sure that there are others if you search. Before having the electrician put in the wiring, figure out how high the bed is and where you want the lamps placed so that you can easily reach them. http://www.houseoftroy.com/ http://www.minkagroup.net/products.asp?div=166&styleid=197&catid=2286 It may be easy to lay out with paper or chalk the floor if possible for the bedroom layout to make sure that the electrical is placed the correct position. the other alternative is to have the electrician place electrical outlets near the floor where you think you may want to have the lights. The make terrific cord covers that are the same color as the lights and you can then move it where needed if it is not placed correctly. Hope this helps....See MoreSwing-arm wall lamps for bedside?
Comments (5)We totally love our swing-arm lamps (they're more modern) -- we had them hardwired into the wall when we remodeled. If I'd known how much I'd love them (light on my book, tiltable), I would have just put some up before the remodel and used the cord cover. For me, I stay up reading after DH goes to bed, so they're completely perfect, in that I can dim them completely, move them closer or farther from the bed, and angle the light so it hits precisely on the book. And the space they make on the bedside table is just wonderful, as we tend to use our bedside tables for books. If you're not hardwiring them, just go ahead and put them up and see what you think. You can always take them down. The cord covers are paintable, too, so they'll pretty much disappear, and I've seen them used in higher-end designs, even, rather than hardwiring the fixtures in....See MoreName This Lamp? Comments (6)In your case you are not looking for swing arm and that is why you are finding it hard. you either want a gooseneck or an adjustable sconce.. try those terms in place. also how deep is the head board you many not even need all that jazz just something that is extended? lastly how will you turn them on and off BTW Holtkotter is one of the best lighting brands out there, made in Germany, not china hence the price tag....See MoreRelated Professionals
