Hi. I wanted to replace the ceiling fan in my son's room as it stopped working. I tried to find which electrical circuit breaker turned off the power by shutting them off and then testing with a power tester. The wires stayed live, so I turned off the main breaker to the house and the fan wires still stayed live. What is going on? Do I have a poltergeist? How do I have a live wire to this ceiling fan when the main breaker is off? It shouldn't be this complicated. Thanks
