Help with matching foyer lights for upper hallway

I need some help with deciding what type of hall lights will go with my new foyer light which is pictured below.

It's a two story foyer where you can see the upper hall which has two lights. The light that I'll be installing in the foyer didn't have any matching lights available.

What are you suggestions? Pictures are appreciated too.

I do realize that there is lighting forum, but think that decorating gets more traffic.

hi aries61 - nice fixture.

are you looking for sconces for your hallway or ceiling light? do you have space for flush mount or just hanging fixtures?

do you have a picture of hallway? sounds like you are hoping to replace what is there, so picture might help you get best responses...

Thank you everyone, looks like #1. is the favorite. :) Annie, it is 14" height by 10" wide. There were a couple other lights I liked but the lighting designer was concerned they were too tall with the 9' ceilings, she seemed more happy with this choice. Lol. I will take your advice and hang some bags to see the scale at the house tomorrow. That's a good idea. :) I wasn't to sure if choice #1 was too funky looking, like something that would remind people of some of the crazy lights people hung in the 70's, lol. But even when I showed hubby he seemed to like it. Usually we picked lighting more modern and in chrome or brushed steel so this is a big change. My one son asked me why the new lighting is so gothic, lol.

What are the ceiling height in the space? Depending on how much room you have, it can determine what kind of fixture you can put in it. If you have a local lighting show room, I would suggest asking one of their consultants specifically about your project. They can help you with finding the right look in the right space. Fixture below will work on a 9ft ceiling.

Since they're hallway lights, rather than invest a lot of money in them, you might consider focusing instead on making the all the hall lights visually disappear when not on -- just have all the hall lights match and let the room lights you've already chosen take all the glory.

Are you wedded to your console table? That's the main piece that gives off the gothic vibe since it looks like a kneeler in a church. Either that needs to be replaced with something lighter such as Beverley suggests--or even Lucite--or the medallions need to come down. Beautiful, light-in-feeling art--a pair of complementary watercolors with the palette below--would be so inviting. Add a runner rug in the same colors to create an inviting "path" into your home--something in blues and brown. In the meantime put a pair of lamps on your table--tall and thin or one with a rounded glass base.

design-wotcha...thanks for the complement on the fixture.

Looking to replace two ceiling lights in the upper hallway and possibly the sconce that I have at a landing of the staircase going up. I'll try to post pictures later today when I get home from work.

I'm actually updating the whole house. I'll be stripping and re-staining the staircase and replacing the balusters,changing out the interior doors and trim, replacing tile, updating the kitchen and bathrooms and more.
