EC numbers are like 0.8, 3.6 and so on. 1895 sounds more like a ppm measurement, and a pretty high one at that. That's like tomato or strawberry growing levels, with large hungry plants. First off we want to make sure what you're reading for concentration. Double-check the meter, the reading, and so on to make sure you're doing it right. If I'm right and that 1895 is ppm that's pretty strong but if the plants aren't getting burnt (so named because the leaves get the tips and/or edges "burned") don't worry about it. If it can handle that strength keep it up. You want to drop your pH down, though. I'd say to aim for high 5's, low 6's. Keep a close eye on the leaves, new growth and old growth. That's where you'll see problems first.

If you have Windows XP, here's a nice, easy way to resize photos. Download and install the XP Image Resizer Powertoy from Microsoft via the link below. Once installed, all you have to do is right-click on an image file (I know it handles jpg/gif files and it may handle others as well). You will now see an option to "Resize Pictures." Click on "Resize Pictures" and you will be given a menu that looks like this: Choose the option that you'd like and click OK. You can use the advanced button to enter a custom size. The tool will leave your original picture untouched. It simply creates another file named "imagename (small).jpg" or medium or large, etc. You can easily resize multiple pictures this way by selecting multiple items from your explorer window (using the CTRL or Shift key), right-clicking and selecting "Resize Pictures". It's a really nice little tool that most people don't know exists and it's much easier than doing the same thing via image editing software. And it's free. I have an off-peak meter that I am wiring to the water heater but also want to run a plug for the dryer. The load interrupter timer on the meter says 35 amp. The power company's metering specs says that the load interrupter can handle up to 24kW (Peco Philadelphia area) but that maybe just a general statement. Water heater and dryer are 30 amp breakers. My question is will having a 2 breaker panel each at 30 amp overload the meter? If it will is there a load miser or a switch that can be installed to transfer manually between the dryer and water heater? Thanks for the info!

120 volts +/- 10% which comes out to from 108 to 132 volts. 120 is considered the nominal voltage and is preferred while the POCO is allowed the +/- 10% so your readings coould be anywhere within those tolerances ans still be aceptable. That does not mean you should not notify your POCO should the readings be near the outer allowances. There may be a problem they can take care of before it would get worse.
