hole in wood panel ceiling?

We would like to remove a wood stove from our living room. The stove pipe connects to the chimney through a hole in the wood tongue and groove ceiling. There is a wooden frame around the hole that holds the stove pipe in place. Once we remove the wood stove, what is the best way to cover that hole. I'd like to avoid removing the panels entirely because if we sell the house some day, someone may want to put a wood stove back and reuse the hole for the stove pipe. Thanks.
