thanks for your post. How is everything going?

My SS is doing well and so am I. I don't know if you know the whole story, but I was very angry at his BM for a long time b/c she died as a result of being dependent on drugs and alchohol. I was so angry that she chose that life for herself over her children (she has 2 kids from another man). Anyway, it helped me so much to admit that I was angry. As soon as I did, it felt like a weight had been lifted and I feel like I can go on now. Thankfully, my son does not have alchohol or drug issues. He is 13 and I take him to alanon for teens 1x/week. I go to the adult group while he goes to his and we talk alot on the way home. It has really helped me and for that I am so grateful.

How is your SS doing? Does he have the same problems as his BM? I know that you mentioned he has an unhealthy dependence on dad, but is he using like his mom did? (I think you said she was using heroine. Is that right?)
