Treatments for Sliding Patio Door
Comments (8)I rarely close my sliding door drapes, love the light and we have almost no privacy issues. But I installed my rods almost 10" either side of the slider....slider is 6' rod extends to 8'. Then, my drapes were hung with rings so they would slide easily. My current drapes are shirred on the rod, so they take more effort to move and I wouldn't recommend that for those who want to cover the slider each day. Comments (9)I've bought three rugs and looked at hundreds or thousands over the last couple of months -- a lot of them blues and greys. I'd be happy to help, but until the OP comes back with some direction, I feel like we are just pulling straw from that proverbial haystack, not even sure if we are looking for a needle. If the OP is reading, with all that grey, you really do have a ton of options. What are you favorite colors? I would pick or or two to play up in the rug. I wouldn't want grey to be the dominant color unless you want a monochromatic look. Think about colors that you would also like in a chair, sofa accent pillows or other accessories. Look for those in the rug so everything will tie together (you can usually search by color). Sometimes finding a rug you like is the thing that winds up defining the room, and I think that could be what you are looking for -- butu it has to be something that grabs you....See MoreKitchen sliding door window treatment options
Comments (4)I would definitely use curtains. They can be kept completely out of the way when using the door, they come in many fabrics and prices, and they can be washable. You could use grommet top panels on a decorative rod. They are very kid and pet friendly. In addition....I abhor roller shades...:)...See MoreLR Window treatments, sliding door and windows
Comments (5)Hey There: inside mount (!) pleated or honeycomb shades for the windows are great and very functional. But this doesn't work with your sliding door...so the only option that I see are vertical blinds staged to the right side of the sliding door. On the left side you have an outlet and switch, so this is not an option. You need something sliding on a sliding door, everything else will make it inconvenient to use. Panel blinds to the left will also work...but they will block 1/4 of your door all the time... One last thing - the fabrics should match or being the same...we do offer this option for some fabrics that are available across different window treatment styles. www.PleatedBlindsStore.com...See MoreFun2BHere
