My guess would be anywhere in the period of 1890 to 1915. I'm thinking more on the later end than the earlier. I'm offering this guess because I think it's in the style of American Empire and it had a revival in that time frame. And I have seen similar pieces made circa 1910 with the exact base configuration with that label. The mirror supports, including the finials are interesting, but I don't think those are corn cobs but without a little better picture of the finials I sure wouldn't argue that point.

Solutions will vary by state. Fumigation is the most certain way of killing the bugs, but is nearly impossible to have done in some places (like Massachusetts). Borate-containing products are the ones most widely recommended and available (Bora-Care is one brand name). With a piece of furniture you can inject it into the holes using a syringe and hope that it will permeate the wood to reach the bugs that are left inside (the hole is left when the insect bores its way out and leaves). You can also paint it on any unfinished surfaces. I'd be very leery of bringing infested wood into my house, so would first look into having the piece fumigated.

Seriously cool late 1920s-early 1930s. (the flat details and big knobby legs are the clue for that decade, and the manufacturer added some art deco touches in the scrollwork by the upper drawers to stay trendy) it's veneered mass market stuff, but it's worth listing on craigslist if that stuff is popular where you are.

Hi- Good luck with refinishing this piece. I think what you ultimately do with it depends on what it looks like when you are done refinishing it. If you uncover quality wood with beautiful grain, then please put it in a place where the piece will be looked at head-on for a length of time, such as a living room or dining room. If it does not re-finish to a beautiful grain (such as in your inspiration photo) then you might rather place it where it is used as a landing and one passes by it, such as an entryway, and you can decide whether or not you want to paint it. If it has an attachable mirror I would detach it, that makes it look too bedroom-ish. In some cases depending on the condition of the mirror you might be able to use the mirror elsewhere, either repainted or not.
