How do I remove sashes in a window with plastic jamb lineres?

The kitchen window in the 1987 house we recently bought needs to be replaced. I bought a Jeld-Wen sash replacement kit which has two new sashes, jamb liners, and some other items. The installation procedure looks straight forward, but I don't know how to remove the old sashes and plastic liners.

I can get the inside stop off, but I don't see any fasteners holding the plastic jamb liners to the frame. Does the entire assembly (both sashes and the liners) just slide out at one time? Is it glued in? What do I do about the springs?

I'd really appreciate some advice on the removal procedure. I don't want to have a bunch of springs and pieces flying around as I take the sashes out.

Thanks.
