Harvey 'Majesty' replacement windows
Comments (0)I was impressed with Harvey "Majesty" replacement windows, partially because we have old Harvey brand storm windows which have been excellent. Haven't found much mention of these replacement windows on this board. Recommendations or comments appreciated. Comments (2)I was going to suggest Marvin, but if you think Anderson are outrageous, Marvin will be, too. I don't know Harvey windows so I can't offer an opinion. Have you thought about restoring the windows you do have? John Leeke's website offers tips and he also has classes on how to do it yourself. He's in Maine so it's not too too far from you. I'm not affiliated with him or his company at all. If you are considering replacing because of drafts/air leaks only, I'd definitely go the restoration route instead of replacing. Comments (4)Hi Stephanie, Thank you for considering Harvey windows. We would recommend that you ensure you are comparing apples to apples when determining if a price is high or low and whether or not another window company has better offerings in the same range. Harvey offers three product lines for Vinyl Double Hung Windows: Slimline, Classic (a customer favorite), and the Tribute premium vinyl window. Our windows are tested to rigorous standards in our on-site testing lab, so our customers feel confident they’re purchasing a durable window that will stand the test of time—and they can be customized to achieve a specific look, if you choose. Your best bet is to have at least 3 reliable contractors quote the same window of the same performance, grade, and options. Also consider what kind of warranty is included from the manufacturer—Harvey has one of the most competitive in the industry (lifetime on vinyl, screening, and mechanical parts for the original owner, 20 year transferability, and 20 year on glass failure for vinyl windows—see website for full details) backed by a customer service team of real people, ready to answer your questions or address concerns you have with your Harvey products. If you would like additional information about Harvey windows, please feel free to email us at socialmedia@harveybp.com or visit harveybp.com to learn more. Happy shopping!...See MoreThoughts on Harvey Windows
Comments (2)We put them in my son's house. They are OK and the price was extremely reasonable. Two years later both windows and sliding patio doors are holding up fine. I was very leery of vinyl windows in general, but I find little to complain about in these. They don't look as nice as our Marvin Ultimates, but they were less than a quarter the price. The company is easy to work with and made no mistakes. One damaged screen was replaced immediately with no hassle....See MoreRelated Professionals
