Where are you getting it slipcovered? When I got a quote on getting my chairs slipcovered I had the same problem but the upholsterer had many different weights and types of fabrics available to order. Does your upholsterer not have access or are you using a private person? The problem with using something underneath is that with a white cover you will likely be washing it fairly often and it will be a pain to arrange an underlayer each time. Maybe you could staple the underlayer on?

Because it may be difficult to find an exact color match, how about a beige or tan pinstripe? Ebay is a great resource for fabrics in every price range. Good luck!

Les, I didn't think about the repeat. I'm a little concerned about the red colors since it's not a red, red in the floral. I would think even if it's not an exact matach, since it's not a lot, either would still coordinate. Here's what the original fabric would've looked like. This might help, this is where this curtain is going. I'll be making a valance out of the floral fabric for the window. I'm getting ready (today) to paint the vanity a dark chocolate brown (SW Woodsy Brown) like my stairs. The floor is gray. I don't like it and have been kind of ignoring it. Don't know how great of an idea that is. The feathers in the corner are gone. I will be painting and adding hardware.

I agree that JoAnn could be a good source for you. You may need to decide what it is you like about the fabric most...the flowers? the color palette? Most likely you can get close to one or the other, but perhaps not both. Or you may find you are better off going in a completely different direction.
