Sam Goh, Most dealers would be happy to sell to you even if they are hours away. But how much are you saving for that hassle? The local dealer is less likely to help you out with any problems if you left the area to make your purchase. That one small change you want to make after the fact might be $200 from your local dealer, but $800 if the other dealer has to make the drive to you. Same with Home Depot-do you think HD is going to help you at all if you need help later? If it's an appliance that will wear out in 5 yr anyway, that's one thing. When it's a part of your house that will be there for decades, I'd be glad to pay even a few thousand more from a reputable dealer that will be there for the minor problems. If you have ~60 windows, just keep in mind that it will be exponentially more expensive for you if you have to change them all out in 5-10 yr because they're junk... Just my $0.02, hope you can find a good solution that works well for you.

A-Series has a fibrex frame and a fiberglass clad sash. This is from Andersen's brochure on the A-Series for professionals. There is no reason why fibrex should fail any sooner than fiberglass. It is completely immune to water, just as is fiberglass. The advantage of A-series is that it is available in a number of deep colors, Marvin Integrity has a much more restricted palette of exterior colors. We are probably going to go with the A-series because of color choice. Otherwise, I would definitely go with the Marvin Integrity. eastbay is correct that while the A series sash is fiberglass, Andersen does use fibrex in the frame. My apologies for any confusion on that one. The last time I chatted with "someone" at AW about the A series they said that they were going to be full fiberglass; however my bad that I never followed up on that one before replying about the actual make up of the finished windows/doors. If I recall correctly AW did look into both full fibrex and full fiberglass during development of the A series and I also seem to remember that they did produce full fiberglass versions of A series units at one time, but I don't know if they ever actually sold any that way. Per "someone" who absolutely does know, A series is like 200 and 400 series in that the frame is actually clad wood rather than just fibrex (A series) or vinyl (200 and 400). So to be precise, A series units use fibrex clad wood for the frame and pultruded fiberglass for the sash. Again sorry for any confusion that I might have caused. The Marvins are normally cheaper than the 400s around here. The 400 is a solidly built window in my opinion. Depending on what you are needing, there are options beyond just those you mentioned and perhaps they might be worth looking into.
