How high should my kitchen drawers be?
Comments (8)Anglophilia - I'd love to see I could fit as much above my fridge as you are able to. My ceilings are 96" and the fridge is 84". With 12" left, 3" go to molding, leaving only a 9" space for a inset cabinet. Is your set up like that too or do. you have taller ceilings or a shorter fridge? As the design is now, there is going to be a flip up panel above the fridge with only room to put one, hopefully two of our breakfast / cocktail trays. They do take up room and I am glad for a nice space to store them, but curious if I could get more space like you have....See MoreMirrors Above Sofa or Should I Forget About this Idea?
Comments (42)As someone with a home that also has a lot of big white walls to fill, please do take your time with this. I know it's tempting to just fill the walls with anything. But patience pays off. We've found it helpful to work with a local art gallery. They pick out art they think will work for our space and our budget, and loan it to us so we can "try it on for size" for awhile. Or if you're more creatively inclined check out toats' threads -- and make your own art!...See MoreWhat should I put on the wall above and behind my sofa?
Comments (1)Measure your sofa length. A good width for artwork over a sofa is two/thirds the length of the sofa. Round up or down to the nearest standard size. Frame style is a personal preference. As for color, if you like coordinated things, pick art with some blue in it, like the sofa....See MoreHow high should I hang this picture?
Comments (17)Thank you everyone. Sorry for the delayed response, we’ve just had the bathroom done and the house all just needs an update redo! In response to Bette P unfortunately this is the other wall of the room, and I know, the art there looks too small for the wall but it’s what we had to hand and we just never changed it, but I’m now wondering if this piece would look better in this wall, instead of the trip? Or perhaps buy the sister print to this and essentially fill the wall, although I’m not sure if that would be over kill. I was wondering if it’s to stay as a single print, could I hang it off centre, closer to the lamp and plant?...See Moregraywings123
