Pal, if you wouldn't mind, a question

Many moons ago there was a post about why certain eclectic combinations work and others do not. It was rare in its specificity, and I believe you were the poster. I cannot recall whether it was here on GW or on Atticmag, back when we could chat over there. If you could, could you sort of recreate it? While it is a huge topic, the post was not a treatise. It did, however, give some great examples of, e.g., a curve that repeats across different schools.
