Need advice on curtain length
Comments (7)Dissenter here, although my reason is that my windows are more obviously different sizes, on the front it is 63in long to sill but 120ish wide. the other window on the side is 120 wide but 24 inches to sill. ( very old house can you tell) I have valances on both and lace to the sill on both. of course the jabot hits the sill on the short window. I do have an old upright grand in front of the short window now so it does look ok. Long way to go to say I think it depends on how your furniture is arranged and what may interfere with full length. I have radiators in front of the 63 window. I also don't think 10 inches will make that much of a difference and would be easy to disguise with a table or chair in front of the shorter window. oh my room is the dining room if that helps....See MoreShorter Curtains?
Comments (17)Hi again S-G. Ramble away! It's funny about the "best friends" thing. I had always soothed myself saying that when they built the new one outside my kitchen window, it would probably be because "my new best friend" was going to move in. Funny how you and I think alike! Well, the house on the other side of us just sold, the one that is not so in my face. Turns out that person and I have so many interests n common it's almost scary. So, what I am wondering is if I get to wish for two new best friends or not... It is getting to be Fall here. After the terribly dry summer, the leaves seem to be turning sooner usual. But, what do I know? I have only been here full-time a few years, and I am not a keeper of garden records and the like. I really should be better about that. I see you opened your kitchen up to the TKOs! :-) I'll keep an eye out and see what they say....See MoreDoes anyone wear pantyhose anymore?
Comments (35)I think if you are dressing up you should wear either panty hose or thigh highs.I just think people look underdressed without nylons when they are supposed to be dressed up. A lot of the tv stars don't wear them, like Kelly Rippa and some of the other hostess's of shows don't wear them either, also some of the runway models. MY own personal opinion is that they make the outfit and the person look finished. Oh and i really hate to see women in dresses in the winter time with open toed shoes as well and no hose!!!JMO Kathi...See Moreanyone still wearing capri length pants?
Comments (100)Mtn., I've been wearing palazzos for several years now and I love them! I don't wear them in public though, only to friends or family dinners where I can look good and feel comfortable at the same time. Especially at Thanksgiving because the waist has elastic, and at Christmas because it's easy to maneuver around playing toys on the floor. lol. I always get a pretty print and wear a solid color top. This morning was grocery day after not going to the store for two weeks. Almost $600 worth. I wore my stretch capris (my calves are fine, thank you) and boy did they do the job. My cart was full on the lower shelf, a 28 lb. box of kitty litter, huge bag of dry dog food, two cases of wet dog food, etc. I swear by those pants!...See Moregraywings123
